I offer live drum and percussion tracks over the internet. From anywhere on Planet Earth, you can send me your stereo two-track recording and I will add drums, percussion, or both to it. Here's how it works:
- You have a song, a theme, or an idea. You record that song, theme, or idea and convert it to a stereo two track mp3 file, or some such well compressed file. You send it to me from anywhere you can get internet service. The stereo track you send can be as basic as an acoustic guitar part (preferably accompanied by a melody), or it can already be complete, except for what you would like me to add to it.
- I go to work creating a "part" which brings your song to life by tying together the elements you have provided. I can also play a part which you have specified.
- When I've finished, I send you an mp3 file of my work and yours together for you to hear. You will then have an opportunity to request revisions prior to making payment.
- Upon receipt of payment from you via PayPal, I will send you the individual track files from the session I created for your project, ie: snare track, bass drum track, cowbell track, shaker track, conga track, etc.… At that point you are free to do as you wish with the tracks.
Things to consider prior to making contact:
Your stereo two-track must be "in time"!
When I receive your mp3, I will first listen for tempo consistency. It does not need to be flawless, but the fewer "anomalies" the better. It is preferable that your track be accompanied by a click track, or that you recorded it to a click track, and can specify the tempo setting you used. I can play through tempo inconsistencies (up to a point!) using this basic tool. If there is an insurmountable problem, I will respectfully ask that it be corrected prior to my beginning work.
No Mixing, No Mastering, No Midi
When I send you the initial mp3 of my work, it will be mixed roughly, and will have some reverb added at my discretion. I do this as a courtesy so you get a sense of the tracks in context.
The final tracks i send you will be raw audio files only!
Turn Around Time
It is in my best interest to turn your project around as quickly as possible. I do what I can in that regard. However, I operate on a first-come/first-served basis. Please consider that you may be in line behind others just as others are (hopefully!) in line behind you. I require two weeks minimum for completion of your song(s) from the time I receive your stereo file(s). Naturally, if I'm not busy I'm happy to accommodate an earlier deadline.
